A portable, plastic-free water-treatment system for compatible wide-mouth bottles holding up to 2.0 litres.
IMPORTANT: This product includes the Water Made Pure stainless-steel infuser and two filter-media refills. The water bottles shown in example photographs are not included.

MATERIALS
The reusable infuser is made from perforated food-grade 304 stainless steel and measures approximately 1.5 inches wide by 2.75 inches tall.
Each refill contains prepared conductive activated charcoal and natural calcite mineral stone. The system contains no plastic cartridge, plastic filter housing or disposable plastic filter components.
The filter media is prepared, rinsed, inspected and packaged by Water Made Pure on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
HOW IT WORKS
One filter-media refill is placed inside the stainless-steel infuser. The filled infuser rests at the bottom of a compatible water bottle, allowing the water to circulate through the perforations and remain in contact with the charcoal and mineral stone.
The conductive activated charcoal improves taste and reduces chlorine-related taste and odour. The natural calcite slowly adds minerals and supports balanced alkalinity. Extended contact also lowers the water's oxidation-reduction potential (ORP).
This filter is intended for potable tap water. It does not make microbiologically unsafe water safe to drink.
CAPACITY AND COMPATIBILITY
- For bottles holding up to 2.0 litres
- Treats up to 500 litres of potable tap water using the two included refills
- Typical replacement interval: approximately three to four months per refill, depending on water use and water quality

- Check that the bottle opening is wide enough for the 1.5-inch infuser before use

HOW TO PREPARE IT
- Unscrew and remove the base of the stainless-steel infuser.
- Open one filter-media refill.
- Pour the complete contents of the refill into the infuser.
- Securely replace the infuser base.
- Rinse the filled infuser under running water for approximately 10 seconds to remove loose charcoal fines.
- Place the infuser in the bottom of a clean, compatible wide-mouth bottle.
- Fill the bottle with potable tap water.
- Allow at least 20 minutes for noticeable taste improvement. Longer contact provides greater interaction with the charcoal and mineral stone, with the fullest mineral interaction occurring after an extended or overnight contact period.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
- Keep the bottle and its lid clean.
- Rinse the filled infuser if sediment or loose charcoal fines accumulate.
- Periodically boil the stainless-steel infuser and its enclosed media in clean water for three minutes.
- Allow the infuser to cool completely before returning it to the cleaned bottle.
- Replace the media with the second included refill after approximately 250 litres or three to four months of typical use.
- Replace the second refill after the complete system has treated approximately 500 litres.
- A light mineral film may occasionally form inside glass bottles. This is naturally occurring mineral residue and can be removed with diluted vinegar.
