Our charcoal is small batched, artisan produced. The wood is carbonised by the ancient Nershi process and then further transformed using our "proprietary" all natural (carbon neutral) process that maximizes the size and number of micropores in the charcoals structure

Instructions of use
Rinse charcoal with clean water, carefully place charcoal directly into carafe. Purification process takes 3-4 hours for a 2-4 litre container, check specific instructions for larger charcoal pieces in a larger container, best results are achieved by leaving overnight.
Regularly clean carafe
Attention: This product is meant for use with potable water only.
Charcoal should be boiled in water for ten minutes after each month of use to ensure optimal performance.
the plastic free choice
One of these cartridge ifilters is filled with a petroleum components and then contained in a plastic non recyclable plastic container, destined to end up in the landfill. This type of filter will treat 150 litres of water and will take over 450 years to biodegrade. Typical cost 9 cents (Cdn) per litre
Our product and packaging are both zero waste and petroleum free and can be either recycled or composted.
Our single use package will purify 540 litres of water. Approximate cost of 4 cents (Cdn) per litre.
